Bruno’s Story:
From Yard Guardian
to a Work of Art
Woof-woof, hello! Bruno on the mic! I’m a big guy with an even bigger heart. My job description? Sleep with one eye open and bark at every suspicious bush (and sometimes the completely harmless ones too). One thing’s for sure – I keep my territory in order. No uninvited guest gets past me while Bruno’s on duty!
Imagine my surprise when my human, Mārtiņš, suddenly started brushing me SUPER thoroughly! “What’s going on?” I thought. “Is this a vet visit?!” But no – he took me to a place where someone with a black box kept saying “sit” and “look here” a million times!
It was REALLY hard not to stare at the cat outside the window, but I tried to look like a “good boy.” I even started drooling a bit by accident, but luckily no one noticed – that would’ve ruined my “noble guardian” image! And now, my face is hanging on the wall like in a royal castle! I look at it every day and think – “Is that really me?”
Looks like a much wiser dog than I feel when I’m chasing my tail… And even stranger – Mārtiņš now walks around with ME on his chest! Humans are so weird – they have the real, awesome Bruno at home, but still want extra Bruno on their clothes.
Oh well, if it makes Mārtiņš happy, then I’m happy too! Now everyone on the street sees BOTH of us! Sometimes I worry that T-shirt Bruno looks a bit cooler than muddy-paws, wet-nose me, but then Mārtiņš gives me a pat and I know – no image can replace a real Bruno hug and a slobbery kiss on the cheek!
