Riko’s Story:
The Playful Energy Volcano
Hello-hello-hello! Riko here and I just can’t stand still!
You know how it is – the world is SO interesting! Every smell, every sound, every movement… I just WANT to explore everything! My tail wags faster than any fan, and my paws can’t stay still even when I’m lying down! Antra says I’m an “energy volcano” – I’m not sure what that is, but it sounds COOL!
My owner Antra said we were going to “get photographed.” I thought it would be a new playground, but it turned out I had to sit and look at a person with a big black box. SO BORING! I tried to explain that I need to MOVE, but nobody understood my dog language. My head was full of ideas – check out every corner, sniff every object, maybe scratch that interesting sofa corner a little… But everyone wanted me to just sit. WHAT TORTURE?!
Then she pulled out a BALL! And a TREAT! Then I understood the rules – look, blink, get a treat. EASY! I’m a PROFESSIONAL blinker! I even learned a new trick – turn my head slightly right, then left, then quickly look right at the camera! I did it so many times my eyes started to hurt a little, but it was all worth it for the treats! I was a STAR! I’m sure there are a million Rikos in that camera box now, and they all look FANTASTIC!
And now? Now Antra drinks from me! No, really – my face is on her mug! The first day I saw myself on the mug, I barked at it for a whole five minutes – I thought there was ANOTHER dog living in that mug! But then I realized – THAT’S ME! And when she wears her new T-shirt, she has TWO Rikos – one on the shirt and the real one jumping all over her! It’s so exciting I can’t decide whether to jump up and check out T-shirt Riko or run around showing everyone my new fame!
I think Antra really likes having two Rikos, but I know the truth – the real Riko is the best! Because T-shirt Riko can’t shake paws, fetch balls, or chew Antras’ sneakers when she’s not home. And between us, I’m planning to chew that mug soon too – just to see if it tastes like me!
Bye-bye-bye!
